this is a welcome change in ohios speed limit laws. i grew up around trucking, married into a trucking family, and have driven a truck myself. i have driven(a truck) in 32 differant states most have speeds for trucks at 65 and some are as high as 75 and in all the time i drove i saw more "4-wheeler" accidents than trucks an average of a 5-1 differance. and i am going to guess some of you ignorant people who disagree with the change have never driven in states like west virginia with a speed limit of 70mph and those who have know it is nothing but mountians. since 75% of ohio is predominantly flat 65 is a very reasonable speed for trucks some could actually stand to see a 70mph speed. what "4 wheeler" drivers need to realize is the handling and Maneuverability of a truck is alot differant from a car and the fair majority of accidents involving trucks are caused by cut-offs, tailgating, driving in blind spots, and other radical maneuvers by people driving "4 wheelers". also truck drivers have a tight schedule to keep and speed=time. so unless you drive or have driven a truck you should not complain about what speed they are going. if you pay attention to them and respect them while you share the road with the people that live on the road then 95% of all truck accidents could be avoided.
