Truck speed limit raised to equal cars.

This is a good thing, dual speed limits do not work and create a safety issue. Cars running into the rear of trucks going 10 mph slower. If your concerned about trucks "Blowing by You" at 65 mph, then you are not keeping up with traffic. This will save truckers money and time when crossing the State of Ohio. They did already raise the speed limit for trucks on the Ohio Turnpike, and its working fine. It works fine in many states. Dual speed limits do not work at a 10 MPH differential.
I believe that this was a "Cash Cow" for the state, as they could get a truck going 58 MPH and a huge fine for speeding. It hard to drive 55 when everyone is passing you in cars doing 70+ MPH.
Lets level the playing field with speed limits. Lets educate people about trucks. Trucks and truckers have always been looked down upon as the big killers of the highway's. Most truck auto accidents are caused by the auto's, but then everyone of course blames the big trucks. Yes there are a few bad truckers out there, but most of them have been taken off the road. If auto drivers could spend one week with a truck driver, they would have a different outlook on this. We are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, that are trying to make a living. We have families, and work very hard to scratch out a living in these difficult times. I have been driving trucks for 40+ years with only one minor (off the road) accident. Times have changed, mostly for the better. I have a few years of driving left, and still enjoy most of it. TJM
