I was looking forward of seeing Chris perform, BET Awards Show was some slaw...you had Lil Wayne (drugs and who knows what else he is involved in) and using the "N" word during their performance, I thought that word was so called buried. I too watch the show thinking Chris Brown was going to perform. "Those without sin cast the first stone." I did not like Beyonce performance or should I say wardrobe what did that have to do with Michael and the song, she should have had on an elegant gown. I guess we got to watch it 52 more times this year.

I am not a teenage girl who wants to be Chris Brown's "wifey". I am a grown woman with a son almost as old as Chris Brown. I wish people could learn to forgive people. It was 100% the right decision for BET to exclude Chris Brown from the Michael Jackson tribute. If Chris Brown had been there then everyone would be talking about how girlfriend-beater Chris Brown was given the honor of honoring Michael Jackson at an awards show. It would've taken the focus off where it should've been which is on Michael Jackson. Chris Brown should go away and repay his debt to society for a long while before he tries to get attention back on his career.

I was extremely disappointed not to see Chris. We know what he did was wrong, but can we get past that? It was so not right to pull him from the show. That was the only reason I watched!! The sad thing is, if it had been an unknown woman you guys wouldn't even care. Look at Christian Bale. He beat his own mom and sister, they dropped the charges, and he still gets supported. Chris Brown was the only singer that I know of to acctually say Michael Jackson is his idol. what happened with Rhianna was not his fault it was hers! also that was months ago, Jay-z had nothing to do with it so he shouldn't have a say in Chris particapting in the Awards show. it could have been his break to start back up and show that theres more to him then people think. he could have atleast been there in the audince to show support.

I think it's a shame that Chris Brown was denied the opportunity to pay his respects to MJ. As I watched the awards he was sadly missed. As we think of Michael 'sLegacy, it is clear to me, James Brown passed the torch to Michael the way that torch has been passed to Chris Brown. We are making the same mistake we did with Michael, condeming him because the white media is doing so. What struck me as so pathetic, is that all of these people that were so inspired by Michael stood by and said nothing when he was being hung out to dry. Black America is looking so fickle right now. I love Michael and have always defended the baseless judgements of who he was. I do the same with Chris Brown. Whether we like it or not he will be the next superstar the calibre of Michael that we will see.

This whole thing has gotten out of hand. Chris suffered enough. I really wished Chris would have been there. Jay Z looks even uglier to me now. I'm so sick of all the judgmental people as if you've never made a mistake.

I have been a Jay fan since 1996 when I first saw him in a club in ATL. I have all of his albums, but all that aside who the hell does he think he is. It was not to long ago when Jay was in troble for stabbing Un. Even MJ had legal problems! It was not about that last night it was a tribute to the King of pop and Chris would have loved to perform to pay tribute to him. We all have made mistakes. I hate to say it, but unnecessary classless acts like this are the reason the MTV Awards ALWAYS turns out better than the BET Awards. People kept saying that the awards was a good show, however, I saw I hot ass mess and an embarrassment of a show. Only performances that were good in my honest opinion were Maxwell, Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo, Monica, Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, and a few others. I'd rather Beyonce had performed "Halo" in MJ's memory. The performances that has no place in the show are as follows: JAY-Z, Wayne, Drake, Birdman. I'm sorry, but they hyped it up saying that it would be a tribute show when it was really a HAM (hot a** mess!).

For BET to do that to Chris Brown was really screwed up. Karma saw to it that the show sucked all ways possible. For Jay-Z to have a say so is not cool, either. His performance SUCKED the MOST to me! It had no place nor purpose in any awards show. How do you come to any awards show with a track that talks crap about the artists' work who are IN ATTENDANCE.

Other than Chris Brown, I my heart went out to Janet Jackson the most. The sight of her brought tears to my eyes because I know how it feels to lose a brother. She was so courageous to speak on the family's behalf. That moment and the ending performance by Jamie and NeYo were the only good moments in the show. I really wanted to see Chris perform. He would've given the show better ratings and it would've given him the chance to pay homage.

I don't get why people are still making a big deal of the assault case. I never cared that Rihanna got beat up and I never will. I don't see why anyone really cared so much. If any of us get beat up by our boyfriend/girlfriend.....do you think Rihanna would take 2 seconds out of her day to care? No. Which is why I'm not gonna care. Plus, what's done is done. He's already paid the price and is trying to move on. Stupid stunts like this is what hinders that. Also, I think other artists would've wanted him there.
