Getting Fatter is Part of K-Fed's Career Strategy
While most people in the entertainment business try lose weight to snag a role or increase their career prospects, Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline hopes that the opposite will work for him. Since putting on a little extra chub, he's been a little more popular with the media and not as vilified as he was before. Instead of trying to lose the weight, he is now actively trying to gain additional weight. Why? Because he thinks that the more he weighs, the more he will lose on Celebrity Fit Club, and that will turn his career around.
He'll be joining the Celebrity Fit Club cast on February 14, and will reportedly earn $100,000. A friend of his said that his overeating and putting on extra weight now is part of a big scheme to make him a bigger brand post-weight loss.
The friend said:
“He thinks that if he goes on the show, loses a ton of weight, and seems really likeable, he’ll get more deals afterward. The way he sees it, he could have another show after ‘Fit Club,’ and that would open the door to working on music again, maybe even a fashion line.”
A fashion line? The only "fashion" K-Fed is known for is are wife beaters, baggy pants, and trucker caps.
