Nancy Pelosi Responds to Sexist Remarks by the GOP

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked Thursday to respond to the sexist commentary coming out of the National Republican Campaign Committee. Without mud-slinging, she was still able to throw back quite the zinger:

QUESTIONER: Madame Speaker, I was wondering if I could get a response from you on the NRCC saying, calling you "General Pelosi," and saying that you, quote, "need to be put in your place"?

PELOSI: It’s really sad. They really don’t understand how inappropriate that is. I’m in my place. I’m the Speaker of the House, the first woman Speaker of the House, and I’m in my place because the House of Representatives voted me there. But that language is something I haven't even heard in decades.
