Lou Dobbs is Leaving CNN

CNN's longest-running anchor on air - Lou Dobbs - is leaving the network effective immediately. The host of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" said Wednesday on his show that it would be his last, and that CNN allowed him to be released from his contract.

Dobbs said that this would enable him "to pursue new opportunities", and that he was considering a number of options.

Dobbs staff members were as taken aback by the decision as his viewers. He only told his staff of his intentions during a meeting Wednesday afternoon.

Unnamed employees at CNN have said that they did not know if Dobbs was moving to another network.

What a stupid move for CNN

Wow, can you beleive that they pushed Lou out. I guess that Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper are just tearing up the ratings. Maybe they are going to move Joy Behar into his spot, she's got bigger draws. I mean could a cable network shoot itself in the foot anymore, ok I have to admit that they are not MSNBC yet.

Let's see if they give that idiot Rick Sanchez his spot, could you imagine that.

Good luck CNN, you just lost the only reason I watched you anymore. I sure hope that Wolf gets a heartbeat soon.

Lou was great 20 years ago

Lou was great 20 years ago before he spouted Glenn Beck opinions tirelessly. Lets see , Obama is an illegal immigrant, Death panels will result if people have medical care, Clinton caused the economic downturn and Bush was an innocent victim. You know the guy rants about Mexicans and he is married to one.
