Pearl Jam Does Their Best to Cheer Up Depressed Concert Goers In Cleveland

A band that was named, for a time, after an NBA player must be basketball fans, so surely they know how Clevelanders are feeling right now. Hours after their beloved Cavaliers fell to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Playoffs, thousands of concert goers descended on the Quicken Loans Arena to catch Pearl Jam to try to brighten their mood, For most of the show, it didn't seem like it was going to work but once Eddie Vedder spoke to the crowd about the state of the Cavaliers, things seemed pick up.

Vedder told the crowd that they should do their best in not letting Jay-Z steal LeBron James from his home state, and said he was in the Cavaliers' corner while they try to bring the city their first championship in nearly 5 decades. Along the way, the band that shot to fame in the early 90's treated the crowd to an expansive career retrospective. The crowd, which was billed a sellout but had some unfilled seats in the top levels, was happy to oblige the band who asked them to record Mother's Day greetings for their moms back home in Seattle.

The show didn't pick up speed until the first encore, which included the pep talk by Pearl Jam's leader, and started off slow, but once it gathered steam you could see why this band is a cult favorite for so many fans around the country. It's a shame that they didn't get to come play Cleveland following a bigCavs win as the energy would likely have been much stronger at the Q, and would have helped produce a much better show for everyone involved.

the buffalo concert was the best concert in the world and ive been to alot of concerts and im only 15 and pearl jam is the best band in the whole world

made it to the show from syracuse, ny. easily in the top 3 pearl jam shows i've seen. the smile request was amazing, and i'm glad ed finally recognized that sign (the sign holder had carried that thing with her from show to show for over three years, it even made the rounds in europe at one point). highlights for me: smile, all yield songs, sleight of hand, leash, indifference, wash, the real me. outstanding show, worth every penny spent.

I'm sure many people in our area can relate to this documentary.custom laptops|custom laptops|adjustable beds
