Cleveland Pastry Chef One of 16 Named to Distinguished Nationwide Culinary List

Local pastry chef Matt Danko has been named on a distinguished culinary list, as Eater.com announced its "Young Guns Class of 2012."

A pastry chef at The Greenhouse Tavern and Noodlecat in downtown Cleveland, Danko was among 16 chefs, restauranteurs, sommeliers, and hospitality industry professionals recognized in the U.S. Danko falls in the middle of the pack at age 29, with the youngest on the list at 25-years-old, and the oldest at 32.

Eater.com wrote of Danko:

Danko's culinary career began at the age of 13 in a pizza shop in his hometown of Northfield, Ohio. He graduated from Kent State University in 2006, and in 2009 he started working as a line cook under Chef Jonathon Sawyer. In 2011, Danko began created the dessert menu at Greenhouse Tavern.
