Federal Grand Jury Investigating John Edwards Possible Misuse of Campaign Funds to Pay Off Mistress
According to the National Enquirer, multiple sources are now confirming their report from one week ago that a federal grand jury is investigating possible misuse of presidential campaign funds by John Edwards, which were said to have been used to pay off his mistress, with whom he had a secret love child.
Multiple local reports confirm that a federal grand jury did in fact convene on Wednesday in Raleigh, North Carolina. U.S. attorney George Holding said this weekend that he "was not going to confirm of deny any investigation" regarding Edwards.
Grand jury proceedings are kept strictly secret, and attorneys caught discussing such investigations in the public or with the press are subject to criminal prosecution.
Edward's mentor, Wade Smith, a top NC lawyer, is believed to be representing Edwards before the grand jury investigation. Smith, however, declined to comment on whether he was representing the former NC Senator.
"I'm at a place where I cannot make any comment to confirm or deny. I can't say anything. It's possible, at some later point, I can," said Smith.
In late 2007, the National Enquirer first broke the news of John Edwards affair with former campaign staffer Rielle Hunter. The Enquirer also later revealed that he had secretly fathered a child with Hunter. Edwards denied the affair for months, until finally admitting to his indiscretions in August , after the Enquirer caught him visiting Hunter and her child in the Beverly Hills Hilton hotel last summer. He has consistently denied being the father of Hunter's child, but this has not been confirmed by any DNA or paternity testing.
Edwards has also been accused of paying either his campaign staffer Andrew Young, who has claimed to be the father of Hunter's child, or his mistress, any funds from the campaign. A longtime Edwards supporter, Fred Baron, who died last fall, claimed to have provided the hush money.
With a federal investigation underway, it is pretty clear that not everyone believed what Edwards and his friends claimed to be the truth.

Don't expect the U. S.
Don't expect the U. S. Justice Department to investigate in any
real way the people who stole the moneys and then got the bailouts.
The last I heard the Justice Department was busying itself with
investigating how John Edwards spent his campaign money.
Let me give them a clue. One thing he did with the money

Who Provided the Money
For those who worked with Fred Baron, at that time, it is highly plausible that he independently provided financial assistance to 2 former campaign workers. One must keep in mind that Ms. Hunter and Mr. Young were not celebrities, but private citizens, who were being harassed by the National Enquirer.

Sleazy John Edwards should be a real man and own up to his affair, but then he's a democrat, "do what I say-- not as I do" mentality. This guy should've be tarred and feathered over his affair just like the media continues to this very day to humiliate Sarah Palin's innocent daughter.
FUEL COST
Why is Donald Trump the only one who knows what happened to our ecomeny. The price of fuel is what sent it a tail spend and continuse to stop it from recovery. If the government would take over and control the price of fuel say two dollars a gallon. The economy would start to recovery tomorrow. We the consumer are afraid it will go to ten bucks a gallon at any time and we are not going to spend our rainy day money.We depend on car trucks etc and refuse to get caught with out pants down again. Get the government to garntee no more than two bucks a gallon and recover will start the next day.
