Fox News' Glenn Beck Calls President Barack Obama a Racist
Glenn Beck, a Fox News Channel commentator, said during a guest appearance on the "Fox & Friends" morning show on Tuesday that he believes President Barack Obama is a racist. He said that Obama has exposed himself as a person with a "deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture."
Beck made these remarks during a discussion of Obama's reaction to the arrest of Harvard University scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. Gates, a black man, was arrested for disorderly conduct by a white police officer over a misunderstanding about a break-in at Gates' home.
Fox host Brian Kilmeade challenged Beck's statement on air, noting that most of the people who work for Obama are white.

Conan O'Brien had a hilarious segment yesterday when he enlisted the help of William Shatner to read the transcript from Sarah Palin's farewell speech over the weekend.

2009 Primetime Emmy Award Nominees Revealed
The big screen gets the Academy Awards, and the small screen gets the Emmy Awards. Today the full list of nominees for the 2009 Emmy Awards were revealed, and there were a few shockers to say the least. True Blood, a wildly popular HBO program, was snubbed completely without a single nod in any category, and Jeremy Piven, who won an Emmy the past three years for his work on Entourage, was also left out in the cold. Most appropriately, Katherine Heigl of "Grey's Anatomy", who withdrew herself from consideration from last year's awards, was not given the same opportunity this year - she didn't get a nod, proving that the Emmys certainly hold a grudge.
Here is the full list of nominees for the Primetime Emmy Awards:
Lindsay Lohan Starts Her Own Production Company
From acting to shilling leggings and spray-tan, Lindsay Lohan is beginning to become a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. We're not sure if this is out of desperation for cash - afterall, acting jobs have been hard for her to come by lately - or what the deal is. Either way, LiLo now has a new endeavor underway - founding a production company.
Lohan and her 6126 leggings line partner Kristi Kaylor have founded a production company called "Unforgettable Productions". The two are said to be developing a number of television and movie projects, including a show called "Faux Real", which is described as an Entourage-like show about the world of fashion. They also have a "docu-cause" TV project in the pipeline following an undisclosed charity, as well as a game show tentatively titled "That's What Friends Are For."
ESPN's Erin Andrews Hit in the Face by Line Drive

Ouch! Wednesday night ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews, who serves as a sideline reporter for the network, was hit in the face by a foul ball hit by New York Mets player Alex Cora in the 4th inning. She was struck in the chin, and a few innings later was rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, she suffered only bruising.
X-Factor Will Soon Be Coming to America
American Idol has been consistently losing viewers over the past few years, despite the continued coverage and hype the show receives in the media and gossip arenas. Over one year ago, we speculated that just as Britain's "Pop Idol" was eventually replaced with X-Factor, the same thing would happen here in the U.S. It appears as though our predictions were on target.
According to the UK's Daily Mirror, Cheryl Cole, has been tapped by Simon Cowell to take X-Factor across the pond. Cole is a member of Girls Aloud and the wife of footballer Ashley Cole, and became an X-Factor judge in 2008.
Senior execs from NBC are scheduled to fly to Manchester this weekend to see her in action at the live auditions.
A source told the Mirror:
"Simon is on the brink of signing a deal to take The X Factor to America and, if he gets his way, Cheryl will be its star.
He thinks she has amazing presence and her down-to-earth Northern charm will appeal to the American public. She is also an incredibly beautiful girl.
She won’t get paid anything like the million pound salary she’s on here, because obviously she is not as well known in the States.
Hilary Duff is Joining the CW's "Gossip Girl"
Hilary Duff will be joining the likes of Leighton Meester and Blake Lively as she joins the cast of "Gossip Girl". Duff will make her debut on the show as Vanessa's (Jessica Szohr) college roommate, Olivia Burke.
As Burke, Duff will play the role of a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience. She gets paired up with Vanessa for her roommate, and will make her debut in this season's fourth episode, which is scheduled to air on October 5.
I think the show is a perfect fit for Hilary, who has, let's face it, become more known for being in the gossip mags than her acting or music lately.
Jon's Girlfriend May Appear in Next Season of "Jon & Kate Plus 8"

Jon and Kate Gosselin, the infamous parents of eight children (twins & sextuplets) featured on TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8", are getting divorced, but don't think that's the end of their television empire. The show will go on - with the two having so many children and having gotten used to a comfortable lifestyle, how could it not?
Yes, the network announced Tuesday that they were pulling the plug on remaining episodes, but that's just for this season. According to a source who spoke with the NY Daily News, Jon & Kate will return to the small screen on August 3, and joining them will be Jon's alleged girlfriend, Deanna Hummel, 23.
The insider said:
"Deanna's role isn't expected to be big, but because she's part of Jon's life, she'll be filmed."
The source added that the show will now primarily focus on how Jon and Kate are raising their kids separately. Right now the two are planning on trading off days that they will live in the house so that the kids won't have to shuttle between them.
TLC confirmed the show's hiatus, and said that in the meantime, a retrospective of the couple's first 10 years will air instead.
Lindsay Lohan & Ryan Seacrest Hook-up to Discuss Reality TV

Everyone knows that Lindsay Lohan is in desperate need of a job. No one knows this better than gossip monger Ryan Seacrest, who's now determined to help out the troubled star by getting LiLo her very own reality TV show. The two were spotted out together in Hollywood on Thursday evening, but it was strictly all business.
Ryan wrote on his Twitter page Friday:
"Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her…it helps people and gives others a second shot! Still putting it all together."
No stranger to producing, Seacrest has lent a producing hand to Brody Jenner's MTV show "Bromance" and E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
Lindsay Lohan also talked up the potential show on her own Twitter page, stating:
"Working on a really great project for television -- I am excited! Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC… :)"
The rumor is, the premise of the show is that real people who are on the wrong track and looking for a second chance are given $1 million to make it happen. LiLo, who's no stranger to being on the wrong track, would most likely serve on a panel of judges that hear the contestants stories.
