In recent years, Britney Spears has looked more like trailer trash than the pop princess she once was, and after having her two children, Brit says she's ready to revive her career in showbiz. Unfortunately, her big debut at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards was a flop, and after shedding a lot of tears over that screw-up, Britney has been in panic mode trying to figure out another way to get the world back on her side.

She was apparently in talks with Playboy earlier this week to do a shoot with them, however she was unwilling to take her top off for their $400,000 offer. Brit said she wasn't willing to do it for any less than $700,000, which Playboy founder Hugh Hefner scoffed at.

So having been rejected by Playboy, Britney decided to hit up another popular men's magazine - Maxim. According to one of Britney's friends she's working on lining up the deal, telling OK! Magazine:

“Brit’s in damage control mode now. She’s been talking to the folks at Maxim about doing a photo shoot. She wants to be on the cover as quickly as they can shoot her. The last thing she did that really reminded America of her allure was her sexy Rolling Stone cover from October 2003, so the idea of another high-profile cover is completely logical.”

Not only has Vanessa Hudgens' scantily clad pictures been plastered around the net, but now she's getting slapped with a lawsuit from her former lawyer and it's rumored she may have broken up with her High School Musical sweetie Zac Efron.

According to paperwork that Hudgens former lawyer, Brian L. Schall, filed earlier this week at the Los Angeles Supreme Court, he is seeking an alleged $150,000 in unpaid fees. The lawsuit alleges that there was breach of contract, complete with a snarky comment from Schall which read:

“Perhaps Vanessa Hudgens… needs to go back to school to learn a very basic lesson in contractual obligations.”

The suit claims that Vanessa entered a contract for legal services in October 2005, and that he advanced the cost and expenses for Vanessa in her pursuit of a career in music.

As far as her boyfriend goes, it is rumored that he may no longer be her boyfriend. OK! Magazine is reporting that the two "officially split earlier this week after Efron confronted Hudgens over claims that she had been seeing an older man."

However, despite these claims, Vanessa and Zac were spotted together on Sunday out for a meal. Which means that the gossip rag is off the mark, or the two are working out their differences.

Joel Madden confirmed on Ryan Seacrest's radio show Tuesday that he fully intends to marry his now pregnant girlfriend Nicole Richie, but that he just doesn't know when.

The Good Charlotte frontman said:

"Obviously, marriage is in our future. I don’t know when or where or how, but right now our priority is our family and is the baby. That’s all we’ve been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy," the smitten rocker added."

And although he's not sure when they'll officially wed, Madden is excited about their baby, noting:

"We are all really excited about it. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to us. It’s awesome."

Only hours after a judge sternly told Britney Spears that she would be subjected to random drug and alcohol testing twice a week, the troubled singer was back to her bar hopping ways last night. Cameras caught Spears, who clearly looked intoxicated, leaving a bar with a group of friends. Here is the video of Britney from last night from CelebTV.

Does Ms Spears not "get" that she is dire jeopardy of losing custody of her two children if she continues to act this way?

Don't wear fur or order the steak if you plan on meeting actress Alicia Silverstone for dinner. The 'Clueless' star is the latest celebrity to do an advertisement for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. On PETA's website Silverston, who is a vegetarian, issued this statement:

Like most people, I wasn’t always a vegetarian, but I’ve always loved animals. If you ever have a chance to meet a cow, pig, turkey, or goat, you will see that they are just as cute and funny as your dogs and cats and that they, too, want to live and feel love. They don’t like pain. Now when I see a steak, it makes me feel sad and sick because right away, I see my dog or the amazing cows I met at a sanctuary. I’ve been vegan for 10 years, and it’s the single-most important and helpful decision I have ever made. Physically, the effect has been amazing. Once I went vegan, I lost the weight I wanted to lose, my nails were stronger, and my skin was glowing. I feel great, and I look better now than I did 11 years ago.

In Touch Magazine is reporting that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have a baby(or is that babies?) on the way. Here is what an "inside source" told the popular celebrity magazine:

"The test calculated that she was about 12 weeks pregnant,"

Lopez, 38, does not have any children. Rumors are swirling that star couple may have conceived twins.

Lopez and Anthony, who have been married since 2004, are scheduled for a 14 concert city tour in November. Maybe they can name it "The Pregnancy Tour".

Tabloids are reporting that chemically dependent rock stars Pete Doherty and Courtney Love may be starting a little romance. Britain's famous tabloid 'The Star' had this quote from an onlooker who saw the rockers in a pub in England:

“Pete respects Courtney for the struggle she’s faced, one that, like his, seemed insurmountable.

“He’s turning a corner now. And having support from one of rock’s greatest survivors is a great help and inspiration for him. They had a brilliant talk.

“It was touching to see them share a tender kiss after the visit.

“They share a common bond as both are musicians with a self-destructive streak.” a source told the paper

Is it just me, or is that one couple that should NOT be paired up? Separate the two at once!

Britney Spears' custody battle with ex-Kevin Federline doesn't look to be going her way. The judge assigned to the case remarked today that "there is a habitual, frequent, and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol by (Britney)." Furthermore, the Judge Scott Gordon has now ordered Britney "to undergo testing for the use of controlled substances and alcohol" randomly twice a week.

There were, however, no changes in the custody arrangement. Currently, the custody is split 50/50, but K-Fed wants to change it to 70/30, in his favor of course.

Documents associated with the case further illustrate the bitter nature of the custody battle. One such example is Judge Gordon's ruling that "Each party is restrained from making derogatory remarks about the other party and the other party's family or significant other..."

He also forbids Brit and Kev from "using corporal punishment with the minor children and from allowing anyone else to do so."

If Britney is clearly using drugs and doesn't clean up for the twice-weekly drug testing, she faces the very real chance of losing her kids completely, allowing Kevin to gain full custody.
