J.Lo is Now Lola; Debuts New Song Under Alias

It wasn't that long ago that Jennifer Lopez stopped going by the catchy moniker "J.Lo" and demanded to be called by her real name. Now, she doesn't even want to be called that. Pulling a move a la Beyonce/Sasha Fierce, Lopez set up a secret MySpace account to debut a new song.
A far cry from her Jenny from the Block days, Jennifer now answers to the alias "Lola". She has a brand new song out with Pitbull called "Fresh Out the Oven".

Music Review: Forget And Not Slow Down, Relient K

After offering us a bunch of their rarities in 2008, Relient K are back with some fresh material on Forget And Not Slow Down. This disc starts with its title track as it illuminates their traditional pop-punk style with peppy chords and Matt Thiessen’s charming vocal prowess that made this cut a fine opener. Next up was “Part Of It” which continued similar tone structures of “Forget And Not Slow Down” but was a smidge mid-tempo and added in some diverse rhythms to its core.
“Therapy” was enveloped in catchy hooks and streaming piano notations as the guys really sunk into their pop rock roots with this selection as it had tons of flair in its arrangement. They bring it down a few notches on “I Don’t Need A Soul (To Hold)” as this was a tight; yet simply short standard featuring great symphonic refrains and witty lyrics as well as this sonic feeling as it became more of a rocker near the bridge. “Candlelight” perhaps is the most quirky and softest display on here as it’s a cute ode to that lover with poignant verbage and manic guitars that made this song work very well.
Voegele Launches Headline Tour in Hometown and Sets Sights on Europe

Singer-songwriter Kate Voegele will kick-off her latest headlining tour this evening in front of a hometown crowd at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland. The Cleveland Leader's music writer, Candis Hecking, had a chance to catch up with Kate for a lengthy chat discussing not only tonight's gig, but also her plans to tour Europe amongst other things.
Kate's tour in support of her second album, "A Fine Mess" will kick off tonight in Cleveland. This date was chosen because it will be a special night for Kate, a native of the Cleveland suburb of Bay Village, who will get to perform in front of her friends and family:
"Cleveland has been so good to me from the start, so we just figured it would be kind of fun to start this tour where it all started. So, it's going to be awesome," Voegele said in an interview with the Leader Tuesday night.
Following the Cleveland show, Kate will head to Norfolk, Virginia and a number of other cities across the U.S., winding down her American tour on November 15 in Chicago.
