Video Highlights: Cleveland Indians Come Back from 10-0 Deficit to Defeat Tampa Bay 11-10

Tribe Scores 7 Runs in the Bottom of the 9th to Complete Miraculous Comeback

Were you one of the many Clevelanders who gave up hope on the Indians after falling behind 10-0 after three frames last night? If you left the game or turned off the television, you missed one of the best comebacks in Major League Baseball history. The Tribe came all the way back scoring seven runs (6 with two outs) to beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in front of their home crowd yesterday. Here is the video highlights of the game that will be talked about for decades to come by Cleveland Indians fans.

Thoughts on the Tribe After a Quarter of the Season

The Cleveland Indians once again stumbled out of the gate to start the season. The team lost their first five games this season and haven't been much better as of late. The team has yet to go on a sizable winning streak and may already be dead in the water. The Tribe's party line has been that they are only 8.5 games back, but the fact of the matter is that they are in last place. If the team wants to compete, they have to start looking at moves to make. The Chicago White Sox, not as bad as the Indians but still swimming upstream, tried to better their team by trading for 2007 Cy Young winner Jake Peavy. Luckily for the AL Central rivals, Peavy opted to use his no trade clause to veto the deal. The point that the White Sox made by trying to acquire Peavy was clear however. They are not ready to give up on the season. The Indians just deal in rhetoric regarding their state of losing baseball. Here is what I think that the Indians could do to better themselves as we head to the make or break portion of the season.

Cleveland Indians Game July 4th Will Now be Played Under the Lights

The Cleveland Indians will play the Oakland A's at 7:05 on July 4th instead of the twinight start at 4:05 as it was originally scheduled. Fox Sports axing the Tribe off national television will enable the Indians to put on a postgame fireworks display the evening of the holiday.

The July 4th game wasn't the only changes announced by the ball club today. The June 14th contest against the St. Louis Cardinals will be televised nationally on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. The game had been scheduled for a first pitch of 1:05 and has been moved back to 8:05. ESPN will also televise games on June 1 against the Yankees and June 15 against the Brewers which had been scheduled to air on STO but now will be seen nationally.

Past Time for Chief Wahoo to Go

It’s time somebody had some sense. Major League Baseball may have struck the first blow to end the life of Chief Wahoo.

It’s overdue that the Cleveland Indians buried Chief Wahoo, a racist emblem that brings shame to the baseball team and the city of Cleveland.

Maybe Mayor Frank Jackson should speak out. Maybe City Council should act against this racist insignia.

C’mon, Dolans, do away with this blemish on Cleveland.

I guess Major League Baseball is saying just that. MLB nixed the Indians’ cap with a stars-and-strip emblem depicting Chief Wahoo with the American flag and its stars and stripes. The new hat design is meant to honor U. S. service people, making it even more repugnant.

Please end this obnoxious racist and ugly team emblem.

Here is what MLB thinks.

Chief Wahoo Gets Cut from Memorial Day Cleveland Indians Cap

Major League Baseball pulled the plug on a Cleveland Indians cap that caused some controversy last year. MLB started producing a line of "Stars and Stripes" baseball caps but many thought that Chief Wahoo adorning Old Glories red, white, and blue was out of bounds.

This season the commemorative cap, which some proceeds go to help retiring veterans, will be the mid-80's Tribe cap with just a letter C. You can purchase the special edition Indians merchandise through MLB's official store.

Tribe Prospect Jeanmar Gomez Tosses Perfect Game for Akron Areos

Jeanmar Gomez accomplished the rarest feet in baseball today. The 21 year old hurler for Akron Areos faced 27 batters and retired each and everyone one of them for a perfect game. The native Venezuelan struck out 8 with the win and moved his record to 4-0 with a miniscule .031 ERA on the season.

Akron defeated the home team Trenton Thunder by the final score of 3-0 in front of 6,344 fans at Waterfront Park on Wednesday.
