Lebron James Going to "Wing It" On SNL

Lebron James big 'Saturday Night Live' appearance is tomorrow. Is the Cleveland Cavalier star forward nervous? It sure doesn't sound like it.

James isn't the first NBA star wearing number 23 to host the popular show. Michael Jordan hosted the 1991 debut of SNL.

No word on what skits the Cavs star is working on but he was practicing yesterday with his fellow cast mates for the show yesterday.

Could This Be Cleveland's Year?

Our Cleveland sports teams seem to be on rise. After years of heartaches and near misses could 2007 be the year that changes our fortunes? Did the sports Gods decide that it was time for Cleveland to stop suffering sometime during April when the Browns managed to secure two blue chip NFL prospects in Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn? Was it just a sign of things to come when Cleveland Cavaliers, a team of misfits that happen to play with the NBA's biggest superstar, Lebron James, over achieved to make the NBA Finals when none of the so-called experts gave them a fighting chance of competing with the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals? Can the Cleveland Indians, a polar opposite of the mid-90's teams who used brute force and suspect starting pitching, bring the city its first championship in 43 long years and the franchises first since the 1948 club? Could this finally be an era of champions in Cleveland?

Pranksters Strike at Cavs' New Practice Facility

Danny Ferry, the Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager, was horrified when he walked into the Cavs new practice facility that opened Wednesday in Independence, Ohio. Upon entering his new office, he discovered, to his shock, that one of the walls had been painted Carolina blue with a massive North Carolina Tar Heels logo on the wall and on a window facing the court. You just don't do that to an alumni of Duke University, the Tar Heels' arch rivals.

Coach Mike Brown's office was also hit by the pranksters, who painted part of his a salmon pink color. We're not sure what the insinuation was here with the pink though...

Cavs' New Practice Facility Opens Today

Today the Cleveland Cavaliers officially open their brand-new practice facility in 'burbs, moving out of their downtown location. The new 50,000 square foot facility is located in the Cleveland suburb of Independence, and features two practice courts, a modern athletic training room, and a team meeting room with theater-style seating.

The new facility also features some modern high-tech additions, including outlets for players to hook-up their iPods and MP3 players to when they are working out alone.

Danny Ferry, the Cavs General Manager, thinks that the new, high-tech facility will help to make the team more attractive to free agents considering a move to Cleveland.

Although the facility opens up today, the Cavs won't hold their first workout there until October 1st.

Lebron James' Eye Surgery a Success

Lebron James can lose his glasses and his contacts. The Cleveland Cavaliers star forward had Lasik eye surgery over the weekend in California. The procedure was done by Kerry K. Assil. Many celebrities and athletes use Assil for Lasik surgery and his office is the "official Lasik Center of the LA Lakers". Fellow NBA player Richard "Rip" Hamilton along with celebrities ranging from Blair Underwood to Ricki Lake.

Lebron's vision is now 20/15 and he can resume workouts at his normal pace.
