Amazon Eve is Not Your Typical Model

A super tall model who goes by the name of Amazon Eve as well as Babezilla, recently was featured in the Australian magazine Zoo Weekly for her first semi-clad shoot for a men's magazine. Eve, however, is not a true Aussie. She's actually from the United States, so it may not be long until she's gracing the men's magazines stateside.

Eve's MySpace page indicates that she is 205 to 210 pounds and has an athletic build. She is 6-foot-8-inches tall, rivaling the height of professional basketball players. She is from the Redondo Beach, California area and lists her occupation as "playmate". On another site she says that she is a personal trainer.

Other than her enormous height, another feature that makes Eve stand out is her fiery red hair. She lists interests as: fantasy wrestling, overpowering, role play, domination, scissors sessions, feats of strength, foot fetish, and tug of war.

Speaking with Zoo Weekly, Eve said:

"I am more than willing to overpower men and wrestle or box them if requested. I want my session to be fun yet challenging with the guys, and a memorable session that doesn't cause injury."

Australian Senator Says Scientology is a Criminal Organization

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is now charged with the task of investigating claims that Scientology is a criminal organization that has sanctioned beatings, imprisonments, forced abortions, sexual abuse and fraud. Those sensational claims were made by South Australian senator Nick Xenophon.

After having received letters from eight former Scientology followers who described to him a worldwide pattern of abuse and criminality, Xenophon is pushing for an investigation.

Rudd commented:

These are grave allegations. Many people in Australia have real concerns about Scientology. I share some of those concerns."

However, he added that he did not want to rushy into any judgment on the claims:

"We would like to proceed in a cautious and methodical way in examining those matters...and then we'll decide what, if further, parliamentary action is necessary."

Naturally, the Church of Scientology in Australia has denied teh allegations, describing them as a coordinated effort to discredit the church. They have said, however, that they will cooperate with police if a formal investigation is indeed launched.

Baby Miraculously Survives Being Run Over by Train

A baby miraculously escaped almost certain death when his stroller rolled of a station platform and under a train. Video footage was released today of the boy's brush with death in Melbourne, Australia.

The video shows the boy's mother briefly letting go of the stroller, which then rolls off the platform and on to the track, just as a train pulls into the station. The driver used emergency breaks, however the stroller was still dragged about 60 yards along the rails. When the train stopped, a member of the public jumped down on to the tracks and grabbed the young child.

According to police, the baby had "superficial injuries to his head", but otherwise he was unscathed. He was taken to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne Thursday afternoon, and was discharged later in the day.

Sergeant Michael Ferwerda of Victoria Police said: “It was a lucky escape and a chance for commuters to think about heeding warnings to be more careful around platforms.”

It's Official: We're in a Flu Pandemic

WHO Declares First Global Flu Pandemic in 41 Years

For the past several years we've been subjected to the warning ads in various media - radio, television, and print - that the world is overdue for a flu pandemic and that one is sure to be coming soon. The day has finally arrived. On Thursday the World Health Organization declared a swine flu pandemic, the first global flu epidemic in 41 years.

Infections around the globe, including the United States, Europe, South America, and Australia, have now climbed to nearly 30,000 cases.

The announcement of the pandemic is official scientific confirmation that a new flu virus has emerged and is quickly making its rounds globally. Now that the WHO has upgraded the situation to pandemic levels, they will begin asking drugmakers to speed up the production of a swine flu vaccine. The declaration should also prompt governments to devote additional funds towards efforts to contain the virus.

Dr. Margaret Chan made the announcement Thursday following an emergency meeting with flu experts. Chan indicated that the WHO would be moving the world up to the agency's highest alert level - phase 6. Phase 6 means that a pandemic, or global epidemic, is already under way.

Swine Flu Fears Spread Overseas in Britain, France, Israel, Spain & New Zealand

As swine flu is said to have taken the lives of 81 victims so far worldwide, Mexico and the United States are particularly on edge. But in the age of globalization and quick international travel, the rest of the world is now also concerned about the potential for a global flu pandemic. Doctors in the UK, France, Israel, Spain, and New Zealand are now also treating people who may have contracted the illness.

The swine flu, which is said to have originated in Mexico, already has confirmed outbreaks in the US. The World Health Organization warned of the possibility of a global pandemic, and members are to meet on Tuesday to decide if the alert level should be raised.

According to New Zealand's health minister Tony Ryall, 13 students returned from Mexico yesterday were tested for swine influenza, and 10 had positive results. He says that the cases are "likely" to be swine flu, and the results have been sent to the WHO lab in Melbourne, Australia.

Australians Urged to Barbecue Camels & Kangaroo to Save Delicate Habitat

Non-native animals are destroying the habitat, and ravaging the continent's scarce water supply.

A study conducted by the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre in Australia's capital city of Canberra found that the country's one million feral camels are running wild in the desert, destroying precious water sources. Another study is recommending that livestock farmers switch from cows, sheep, and pigs to kangarooms because they expel less methane, a gas said to contribute to global warming.

In the report, Murray McGregor said, "Eat a camel today, I've done it. It's beautiful meat. It's a bit like beef. It's as lean as lean, it's an excellent health food."

Camels are not native to Australia, and were introduced to the continent as pack animals by European settlers in the 19th and early 20th centuries. However, as railways and roads spread across the continent, they were released into the wild. with no natural predators, these newcomes ate voraciously, destroying habitats and spreading disease.

Now, as water becomes even more scarce in Australia, they country is being forced to closely monitor their water supplies and look at any way to preserve even just a few extra drops of water.

7-Year-Old Sneaks in Australian Zoo, Feeds Rare Animals to Crocodile

A 7-year-old boy successfully snuck into an Australian outback zoo and fed a series of small animals to the zoo's resident crocodile. The boy's parents are now likely to be sued after police said that the child was too young to be held responsible.

The young boy fed one turtle, four western blue tongue lizards, two thorny devil lizards, two bearded dragons and an adult female Spencer's goanna to the three-foot, 440-lb. saltwater crococile named "Terry".

The feedings were captured on CCTV security camera video footage at the Alice Springs Reptile Center. The smiling youngster also bludgeoned to death two more thorny devil lizards and a small blue tongue lizard during his 30-minute morningtime havoc last Wednesday.

The reptile center's director, Rex Neindorf said "The fact a 7-year-old can wreak so much havoc in such a short time, it's unbelievable. In my day he'd get a big boot up the arse. Police found him, but in the Northern Territory here he can't be accountable if he's under 10 years of age."

According to Neindorf, many of the animals that were fed to the crocodile were rare or mature, and would be difficult to replace.

When questioned about the rampage, the boy reportedly "clammed up."

The zoo is now looking at suing the boy's parents.

Kiwi Parents Lose Custody After Naming Daughter 'Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii'

A New Zealand court ruled that some names are just so weird that they are tantamount to child abuse. As a result of the ruling, one couple lost custody of their daughter after they named her "Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii."

A lawyer for Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii said that the 9-year-old girl was extremely embarrassed by her name, and had not revealed it to her friends. Instead, she was known as "K".

The New Zealand Herald reported:

"The lawyer said the girl feared being mocked and teased, and had a better insight about the situation than her parents, who appeared not to have given any thought to implications of giving their child such a name."

Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii was thus placed "under the guardianship of the court" pending her parents selection of a new name. Judge Rob Murfitt said, "It makes a fool of the child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap."

Scientology Protests Kick-Off Around the World

The group of online users known as "Anonymous", who previously crashed various Church of Scientology websites named February 10 an international day of protest against the church in an on-going effort to "destroy" the religion.

Anonymous first declared war on the controversial religion several weeks ago when a Scientology recruitment video featuring Tom Cruise circulated throughout the web. After YouTube removed the video from their site, Anonymous organized and posted their own video declaring war on the religion.

Since declaring war on Scientology, and promising to "expel you from the internet and systematically dismantle the Church of Scientology in its present form," several major Scientology websites in the U.S. and the United Kingdom crashed. The FBI was also called into investigate after envelopes filled with white powder were sent to 19 Scientology churches in the Los Angeles area.
