Lindsay Lohan's Probation Extended Another Year

Take one look at the gossip mags from the past year, and it's pretty obvious that Lindsay Lohan is in no way, shape, or form on the straight and narrow. On Friday, she made an appearance in court on charges stemming from a 2007 drunk driving arrest and conviction. LiLo's probation was extended for another year as the judge told her to "get serious" about her alcohol education program.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered the actress to appear in court after receving a report from probation officers that Lohan did not attend alcohol education classes in a timely manner.
Revel told Lohan:
"This has to be a top priority. I would love to congratulate you rather than admonish you."
Lohan's lawyer blamed her absences on program administrators' "failure to communicate" with her. Despite LiLo's insistence that she needed to be in Texas for a film no one knows about, the judge extended her probation for another year.
Elizabeth Edwards Wishes Her Husband's Former Mistress Would Die

Elizabeth Edwards is finally standing up for herself and speaking out on her husband infidelities and bad behavior. The latest in the still-unfolding scandal involves a furious Elizabeth spewing vitriol at her husband's mistress, Rielle Hunter.
When Elizabeth learned that Rielle was planning to move to North Carolina to raise her daughter near the the disgraced former senator and presidential candidate, she flew into rage, says the National Enquirer. Insides say that the news drove her into a violent frenzy, and that she berated Edwards' former campaign aide, Andrew Young.
She also reported demanded that John give her Rielle's phone number.
A source close to the family said:
"When Elizabeth found out Rielle had shown up in North Carolina to look at houses, she went ballistic!
She demanded that John give her Rielle's cell phone number. John was in the room when Elizabeth called Rielle and screamed into the phone, 'How dare you move here?'
Without giving Rielle a chance to respond, Elizabeth continued her tirade, shouting, 'Leave my family alone!'
Then, clearly beside herself with rage, she blurted out, 'I hope you die!' and slammed down the phone.'"
Follow for the Cure: The Cleveland Leader Speaks with Drew Carey About His Donation to LiveStrong

Drew Carey may have left his hometown of Cleveland for fame and fortune in Hollywood, but he hasn't forgotten the little people. When a man by the name of Drew Olanoff, a cancer-fighting blogger, decided to auction off his enviable Twitter.com username - @drew - and donate the proceeds to LiveStrong, he anticipated he could raise $10,000. He never expected that his auction would capture the attention of Price Is Right host Drew Carey, and he especially did not anticipate the hefty $1 million offer that Carey would eventually make. And while some may think that Carey is simply trying to get publicity, he insists that that's not the case and that he didn't even think about his bids when he made them.
An active Twitter user ( @DrewFromTV), Carey surpassed Olanoff's $10,000 expectation by tweeting an initial bid of $25,000. He then decided to quadruple his offer, moving it up to $100,000 if he could get 100,000 Twitter followers. This generous offer was topped when Carey - without really thinking - decided to increase it even more: he would donate $1 million if he can get one million followers by midnight on December 31, and if he doesn't reach a million followers he will give a prorated donation of $1 for every follower.
In an email exchange with The Cleveland Leader, Drew Carey says:
TLC Sues Jon Gosselin for Breach of Contract

Reality TV dad Jon Gosselin of the show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is in some hot water this morning. On Friday morning, TLC filed a lawsuit in Maryland against him for breaching his contract. The network claims that Gosselin hasn't kept up his end of its exclusive deal by allegedly being paid to appear on other shows and making unauthorized disclosures about the show.
That's not the only legal issue Jon,32, is facing, however.
Thanks to the Gosselin's former nanny who revealed to RadarOnline.com on Thursday that Jon allegedly hacked into Kate's personal email, phone and online bank accounts, he may also be facing another legal battle with his ex. Kate, 34, read the interview with Stephanie Santoro and her attorney released a statement:
"Kate Gosselin has heard the allegations made by Stephanie Santoro that Jon Gosselin ‘hacked' into her e-mails, phone, and online accounts, and she is profoundly disturbed by them. Under the circumstances, Ms. Gosselin is carefully considering all of her legal options regarding this matter, and she will pursue them if and when the time is right."
Jon's lawyer also issued a statement in regards to the nanny's interview:
Anna Nicole Smith's Lesbian Love with Doctor

On Thursday, a federal prosecutor claimed that a female doctor funneled drugs to Anna Nicole Smith to fuel their lesbian love affair. Los Angeles District Attorney Renee Rose made the startling accusation during a preliminary hearing against the former Playmate's lawyer and two doctors, who are charged with conspiring to illegally supply drugs to the model.
The three individuals - Howard K. Stern, Dr.Khristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor - have all pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Rose asserted:
"There was a sexual relationship that happened in the past and possibly carrying into the future. It was the motive for Dr. Eroshevich to provide excessive medication to Anna Nicole Smith."
"There are ulterior motives for Dr. Eroshevich's actions. That medicine keeps her addicted, so Dr. Eroshevich becomes the most important person in her life. She keeps her addicted."
The allegation came during questioning of Smith's bodyguard, Maurice "Moe" Brighthaupt.
Sean Carney, another prosecutor, added that the DA would call experts on medical ethics to comment on the doctor's alleged breakdown of doctor-patient relationships:

It was a happy ending for the "Balloon Boy". The 6-year-old Coloradoboy made headlines today when it was thought he crawled into a homemade helium balloon resembling a UFO made by his father. The video made live television coast to coast but when the balloon landed safely he was not inside. After all the commotion and frantic search, the boy turned out to be hiding in his parents garage.
Here is video of the announcement that he was found safe and sound:
Death Hits Hard on Sesame Street as Elmo Loses Uncle to War

The realities of the war on terror have hit Sesame Street, where Elmo is coping with the death of his heroic uncle Jack. The upcoming Sesame Workshop video features Elmo's war veteran dad, Louie, is aimed specifically at US military families coping with the loss of a parent during the on-going wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Sesame Street consulted with the Defense Department for the script to avoid any explicit mention of combat or the war for the sake of healing children. This segment is part of a documentary that is scheduled to air on PBS in April, which also includes the stories of four real families who have suffered a loss.
In one of the scenes, Elmo is on a family picnic with Aunt Jill and cousin Jessie and forgets about his uncle's death, asking "Where's Uncle Jack?" Elmo's mom reminds him that Uncle Jack died, which caused some obvious discomfort for Jessie. Then, Elmo's dad Louie sits down with Jessie to encourage her to talk about her feelings:
"It helps to talk to someone about the way we feel, like we're talking now. Sometimes it feels better than keeping it all inside," he says.
Elmo's dad, Louie, knows all too well- he has deployed before.
