"Real Housewives" Series Moving to Non-Cable Syndication

NBC's hit franchise "Real Housewives" is making the move into syndication. Next fall, reruns of the series will begin airing on Channel 4. It is expected that all four of the "Housewives" franchises - New York, New Jersey, Orange County, and Atlanta - will air in syndication.

The original series broadcast on Bravo, NBC's sister cable network.

The network hasn't yet determined how the reruns will air or in what time slot, however episodes from each individual series are expected to air in continuous blocks for continuity purposes.

"Housewives" will also air on NBC-owned stations in LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, Miami and Hartford, Ct. in addition to the syndication on Channel 4. It will also air on stations owned by Hearst, which includes Sacramentio, Tampa, and Baltimore.

NBC president John Wallace said in a release:

"'The Real Housewives' is a very successful franchise, especially popular with women. And by coming to broadcast television stations in daytime, this series will appeal to a new audience that is looking for something that stands out from the pack."

There's no word, yet, on where "Housewives" will air on Ch. 4.

Amy Winehouse Blew $14 Million in 7 Months

According to OK! Magazine, singer Amy Winehouse spent roughly $14 million on partying, which shouldn't really surprise anyone. The "Rehab" singer spent the exorbitant amount of cash during her seven month stay in St. Lucia this.

A source revealed:

"Amy’s voice has made her a fortune, but her lifestyle costs a lot to maintain. There is still cash coming in from royalties. But a new album or tour would really help top up her coffers."

The cost to maintain her stash of pot, coke, and heroin really adds up. The message: buy her new album when it comes out, and help feed her addiction.

Tara Reid to Pose Nude for Playboy

Tara Reid has finally been able to get over her botched plastic surgeries, and now the "American Pie" star is going to pose nude for an upcoming issue of Playboy. The photoshoot was conducted on October 7th at a private Santa Monica residence.

Reid is said to have started out the shoot nervous, but grew more comfortable as the day wore on. A source commented:

"She was a bit insecure about her body when they first started . . . She looked great and finally got into the groove."

The actress had previously said that the scars left from a bad liposuction procedure in 2004 would keep her from ever posing in the magazine. She once said:

"I know there are problems with my stomach. There are bumps on it, it's uneven, but it's not that bad. My stomach scars are my battle wounds."

The botched liposuction, however, wasn't her only experience with plastic surgery gone awry. She underwent breast augmentation in 2004, which did not turn out too great. She ultimately decided to have the implants removed. In an interview on "The View", Reid said:

"If I had to do it again, I never would have done it in the first place."

We're pretty sure that with the magic of Photoshop, there won't be a single scar in sight.

Wasted David Hasselhoff Socks Doc

After returning from Simon Cowell's massive birthday bash in London on Saturday, David Hasselhoff was so drunk that he allegedly punched a hotel physician. According to eyewitness reports, Hasselhoff was so wasted that his assistant asked the staff at the posh St. Martins Lane hotel for help.

Hotel doctor Paul Ettinger offered Hasselhoff help, and the thanks he got was a punch in the eye. A source revealed:

"His assistant, Joe Townley, was so concerned he called out a doctor. David was furious and lashed out at him -- but he mistakenly hit the doctor."

The staff was said to be frightened of the 6'4" fomer "Baywatch" star, and he was eventually dragged into he building's basement, where he finally submitted to treatment.

The source added:

"They decided they had no option but to lock him in the basement until an ambulance arrived.

"He was abusing all the staff, shouting at everyone. We were shocked -- you'd think he was just some drunk, not a big star."

A source close to the actor said:

"David is very hard to handle when he drinks, often very emotional and aggressive.

"On this occasion he became so drunk he wet his hotel bed, ruining two mattresses, and was becoming a real pain to the staff."

Hilary Swank Walks Around Naked in Front of Boyfriend's Son

Hilary Swank (or is that Skank?) admitted in a recent interview that she walks around naked in front of her boyfriend's 6-year-old son. The 35-year-old actress said:

"You wonder at what age you should stop walking around nude. But he doesn't look twice. He doesn't think about it yet."

If you have to question it, then it's time to put on some clothes.

Interview with Kate Voegele

On Tuesday, October 6th I had the opportunity to talk to Kate Voegele. It was the night before she kicked off the tour in her home town Cleveland, Ohio.

Candis: Hey Kate, How are you?
Kate: Doing well, getting ready to start up another tour tomorrow so I'm excited and really pumped.

Candis: Tomorrow is the first date of the tour, correct?
Kate:Yeah the first date of the tour is tomorrow, crazy.

Candis: Did you pick Cleveland as the first tour date since this is your home town?
Kate: It is my home town. It was convenient and why not kick it off in Cleveland? It's a fun part of getting the tour together. Cleveland has been good to me from the start. Figured, start this tour where it all started in the first place.

Candis: Do you get to choose the bands that open up the show for you?
Kate: Yeah no matter who you tour with you're always going to have a good experience. It's awesome to have a say in it. Green River Ordinance is a great band and a great group of guys. Kevin Hammond is super talented, really cool guy who I actually just did a duet with. He may end up putting it on his record that is going to be coming out.

Candis: What's your favorite song to perform?

Music Review: Awake, Skillet

Last year they had us Comatose and in 2009, Skillet gets us Awake. Awake starts with “Hero” as it’s a brilliantly orchestral rock track full of audacious vocals from Jon and Cory Cooper wrapped around thrashing chords and pounding double bass that definitely inspires you to shout this one out. This disc’s second hit single, “Monster” which is just as pulsating as “Hero” but adds more screams and less singing as well as great shredding giving this a metallic tinge to its body.

”Awake And Alive” gets back into the symphonic melodies with amplified keyboards tweaked with violin samplings accenting the crescendo of high hats, heavy frets and that cool mix of male and female dueting nicely. Skillet offers a serene ballad on “One Day Too Late” as this song has an essence of tight hooks, rolling breaks and harmonious lyrics that is quite internal and retrospective. They give us another heart-wrencher with “It’s Not Me, It’s You” as it has that familiar combination of deep-throated shoutings and passionate chants filling our ears with gritty jams on this love-lorned tale.

Alex Rodriguez & Kate Hudson Plan for a New Year Wedding

Actress Kate Hudson and Yankees' slugger Alex Rodriguez certainly aren't taking things slowly. Lately it has been rumored that the two are moving in together and that they're even expecting. Now, a friend of couple reveals that they want to make a life together and get married.

The friend said that Alex even got Kate's mom, Goldie Hawn involved:

“Alex called Goldie and asked if she and [her partner] Kurt Russell would give their blessing to his asking Kate to marry him.

“Alex is planning on doing it around New Year’s. Usually Kate goes away with her family to Aspen, and Alex thought it would be romantic to do it front of a fireplace while snow was falling outside.”

A-Rod and Kate have already begun acting like a married couple. The two brought along Kate's son, Ryder, 5, to look at luxury properties in NYC's Greenwich Village, SoHo, and TriBeCa neighborhoods. The week before, they brought along A-Rod's children Natasha, 4, and Ella, 17 months, to look at homes on the West Coast, where they plan to reside during his off season.

Kate's rep denies that they are already engaged and pregnant, but friends worry that she is moving too fast. One friend said:

Lohan Family Plans to Stage an Intervention

After Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, revealed that his daughter is addicted to prescription drugs (really - that's all?!), he has now confirmed that the Lohan family wants to stage an intervention. Speaking with RadarOnline.com, Lohan said:

“I had a conversation with her, her mother and everyone…over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be doing things in a pretty public way. But Dina has got to get on the same page with me. It’s a serious situation. You can’t just talk about it and tell me that you want to do an intervention and then do nothing.”

Papa Lohan's never-ending public criticism of his daughter has earned him some backlash, with some saying that he is betraying her privacy. Michael, being the reformed drug addict that he is, says he knows what he is doing:

“When Lindsay doesn’t adhere or listen to what I say about serious situations, I feel I have to speak publicly to put pressure on her,” he said. “If she doesn’t take my advice and do what I say…the more pressure I put on her, the more likely she is to eventually do the right thing.”
